A 10K event is taking place in the picturesque village of Killin, Perthshire on Saturday 27th August 2011 at 12pm. The event offers all budding runners and local residents the opportunity to get involved as a participant, volunteer or business and help raise money for local charities. Whether you want to walk, jog or run – everyone is welcome. Follow the sub-headings above to find out more about the race, how to enter and raise sponsorship money and everything that will be happening on the day. Below are a few answers to some common questions:
Do you have to be in great shape to take part? I don’t want to look foolish, trailing behind everyone else…
The Tay Fitness Killin 10K is open to anyone who can make it around the course. We expect the participants to be very diverse; some experienced runners who like to hurtle round the course in less than 40min, less accomplished joggers and runners trying to see if they can go the distance, and some people who want to walk round with their friends, everyone of all abilities is very welcome to take part. If you’re really worried that participating may be a step too far (pun intended) then why not download a FREE easy to follow training program by clicking HERE
Ok, I want to take part, what is the next step?
Click HERE to go to the registration page to sign up it only costs £15 and after you’ve completed the event you’ll get a finishers medal and a goody bag
Do I have to raise sponsorship?
The aim of the event is to raise money for 4 local charities so please try and raise a small amount, just £25 from every participant would mean a lot to the charities. You’re doing the hard part of completing the event, why not do the easy part of raising some money for charity? Click HERE for more info.
You know what? I like the sound of the event but running just isn’t my thing.
Fair enough, if I can’t convince you to do it but you want to get involved, you could volunteer on the day to marshal the course, operate a water station or generally ensure the smooth functioning of the event. If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, please contact pete@tayfitness.com
I would like to support or sponsor the event through my business, how can i help?
Theres lots of ways you can help, send an email to pete@tayfitness.com and I will send you a sponsors information pack
Sounds great, but I have some questions…
