Testimonials: PT Clients
‘’I went from not being able to run 5 miles without stopping for breath to Ironman Lanzarote in 18 months! I am a 46 year old woman who owns a full time, full on business, so that was no mean feat!! I am very proud of what I achieved and I believe that Pete is proud of what he achieved getting me there.
Pete trains me three times a week, most weeks. He is a real asset to my life. I have had several other personal trainers through the years but what I especially like about Pete is that he is a trainer that becomes part of your way of life, he has a nice mixture of stick and carrot, the way he trains you means that it is sustainable, not ‘all guns blazing’ then burn out after a few months. I look forward to our sessions even though I am often pushed way further than I ever would if I was left to my own devices.
He is a real asset to my life and our community’’.
“Having worked with Pete on a personal training program for over 2 years, I have been very impressed by Pete’s professional application, including comprehensive knowledge of sports sciences, exercise technique and identifying strategies to help me achieve optimal fitness performance. Pete has also given me excellent guidance on nutrition appropriate to my lifestyle and physical activity levels, and also provided good advice on suitable home training equipment and accessories for my own training program. I have and continue to greatly value Pete’s focused and committed attitude in helping me achieve my personal goals through improving my determination, discipline and enjoyment of training and can say that I have gained significant fitness improvement since working with Pete at Tay Fitness.”
“Been training with Pete for a few months now. He is a very approachable individual with good knowledge and a broad base in all areas of physical training. He is understanding and fully adaptable to anyones’ individual needs with great communicative skills. I look forward to our training sessions very much and intend to continue using his services.”
“Having a personal trainer has made a huge difference to my motivation and ability to get the results I am looking for. Well worth the investment, I would recommend Pete to those that want to see and feel a real difference.”

Testimonials: Fitness Classes
“Of all the fitness classes I’ve been to over the years, Tabata training is the most effective for improving overall fitness. Everyone in the class works at a pace to suit their own fitness level and it’s very satisfying to see real results by achieving a bit more every week. Pete’s an excellent instructor – hugely knowledgeable, professional, challenging, and motivating, and he delivers all this in quite a relaxed style! The Tabata class is friendly and great fun as well as a highly effective method for improving fitness.”
“Pete likes to mix the sessions up with new exercises and this makes them more enjoyable. He also strikes a good balance between pushing us and letting us go at our own pace. Even though everyone is focussed and working hard, there is still time to have a joke and a laugh. Just the way it should be.”
“I find the Tabata classes very useful for a number of reasons. The demands are set by your own standards and very useful in terms of rehabilitation of an injury or for extending an existing level of fitness. The sessions are informal and friendly but Pete is always professional in terms of his approach, his training knowledge and the standards he expects of each individual attending.”
“Due to working away from home I am an “irregular” at Pete’s Tabata classes. If you want ‘easy’ look elsewhere, but it is great fun and very effective. I have done many forms of exercise and sports (climbing, walking, mountain biking, kayaking, skiing for example) over the years and Tabata gives me an all over body workout in a way that nothing else has matched. Be warned that if you do it the way I do it’s a bit painful the next day, but I still come back for more when I can! I should add that it is possible to attend a class and not go flat-out – the beauty of Tabata is you work at your own level, and I’ve never felt intimidated due to my lack of fitness at any of the classes. Pete has a great approach and personality, which makes him very easy to be around. I think they are very good value classes.”
“Last year I signed up for my first half marathon – a physical and mental challenge for someone who hadn’t run further than 3 miles before. Tabata played a key part in my preparation, improving my fitness and core strength and contributing to a very respectable finishing time. Pete has the knack of knowing just when you need that extra push, that word of encouragement. He motivates without intimidating.”
